Your LSABT Qualifi qualification is internationally recognised — and a direct gateway to completing a full UK university degree in as little as one additional year.
Understanding Progression
Qualifi qualifications are credit-bearing, Ofqual-regulated qualifications listed on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). UK universities recognise RQF credits for entry to their programmes.
You study your Qualifi Diploma at LSABT — fully online, coursework-based, no exams. On successful completion, Qualifi issues your official certificate directly.
You present your Qualifi certificate as evidence of your academic level. Universities with formal progression agreements with Qualifi will recognise your qualification for entry to a top-up programme.
A top-up programme takes 1 year full-time (or longer part-time). You join the final year of the degree programme and graduate with a full UK university degree — BA, BSc, or MBA.
You receive your degree from the UK university — not from LSABT or Qualifi. The degree is awarded by the university in the same way as any other graduate.
Important: University progression is subject to each university's own admissions requirements and is not guaranteed by holding a Qualifi qualification. LSABT provides guidance and signposting — final admission decisions rest with the university. Contact us to discuss the most current progression routes available.
Your Route
1 additional year at university
Complete our Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership, then progress to the final year of an MBA at a UK university. Graduate with a full Master of Business Administration.
1 additional year at university
Complete our Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management, then progress to the final year of a BA or BSc at a UK university. Graduate with a full UK bachelor's degree.
2 additional years at university
Complete our Level 4 Diploma in Business Management and progress to Year 2 of a UK university degree programme. Complete 2 further years to graduate with a full UK bachelor's degree.
Common Questions
No — progression is not guaranteed. Each university makes its own admission decisions based on its own criteria. What LSABT can tell you is that Qualifi qualifications are recognised by a number of UK universities for progression purposes. We will help you identify the most suitable universities for your specific qualification and circumstances.
Many UK universities now offer online or blended MBA and bachelor's top-up programmes. The availability of online study depends on the university and programme. We will help you identify universities that offer the delivery format that suits you.
Not necessarily. Many top-up programmes are available online or through overseas campuses and affiliated institutions. If you do wish to study in the UK, a Qualifi qualification may also support a Student Visa application — but visa eligibility is subject to UKVI requirements and the university's own processes.
University top-up fees vary by institution and programme. UK-based MBA top-up programmes typically range from £8,000 to £15,000 per year for international students. Online programmes are often lower cost. LSABT fees are separate from university fees.
A Qualifi Level 7 Diploma is a standalone qualification at the same level as the first year of a Master's degree — it is not itself an MBA or a degree. An MBA is a full university degree awarded by a university. The Level 7 Diploma is a stepping stone that allows you to enter an MBA top-up programme and complete the full degree in approximately one year.
Yes — UK university degrees are internationally recognised and are highly regarded in all of LSABT's primary learner markets. Many employers and professional bodies in these countries specifically value UK qualifications for career advancement and professional registration.
